Player Fees
In order to simplify things for the past two years the booster
club has adopted the basic fund raising activities of other sports'
booster clubs. Baseball requires players to raise $250 as
members of the Dugout Club ($300 for non-members) - or the child does
not play baseball. Touchdown Club membership is $40 and at least
two fund raising quotas ($110-$150) are required.
Each player will raise a designated amount (usually $200-$250) by
selling ads for the program to cover their player fee. The
amount of the player fee is determined by the amount of money spent
the previous season divided by the number of players. Every
penny goes directly to the kids or players, we do not charge huge
amounts of money and let it sit in the bank.
Scholastic Eligibility
Eligibility is based on the reporting period before
tryouts, not the current grading period during tryouts. If you
have any questions regarding your player's eligibility please contact
the Athletic Director at LHS, Mr. Stringer at 770-466-4892.
Eligible players may try out for soccer teams when conditioning
begins in late January or early February as determined by the State
High School Rules. Official practice (with the ball) begins one
to two weeks after conditioning. Regular season games usually
start 2 weeks later.
Any student who does not have the completed insurance waiver or
physical form will not be allowed to tryout until they turn it in. (GHSA
LAW)
